Use tool ↗About Edraw.AI
The mind map generator is one of the AI tools in Edraw.AI, Wondershare's online diagramming and whiteboard platform, which sits beside its desktop products EdrawMax and EdrawMind but is sold separately. A typed topic becomes a multi-level map in one step, and the result opens as a normal Edraw.AI canvas with draggable branches, themes, templates and export. The same workspace covers flowcharts, org charts, floor plans and other diagram types, plus text-to-flowchart and code-to-flowchart generators. AI use is metered in tokens: a trial allowance on the free plan, 10,000 a month on Pro and unlimited on the top plan.

Pros & cons of Edraw.AI
The generator is a fast on-ramp into a full browser diagramming workspace from Wondershare, so a generated map can be reworked, themed and exported like any other Edraw.AI file. It is a feature inside a broader subscription rather than a focused single-purpose tool, and Edraw.AI is a different product from EdrawMind with its own plans, so casual users who want one quick map may find the subscription hard to justify.
Pros
- Generates a full multi-level map from one prompt rather than one branch at a time
- Comes from Wondershare, an established maker of diagramming software, with broad export options
- Runs in the browser with nothing to install
- Monthly AI token allowance is bundled into the same subscription as the rest of the workspace
Cons
- AI generation draws down a monthly token allowance unless you pay for the Unlimited plan
- Free plan's 500-token trial allowance runs out after a handful of maps
- Edraw.AI and EdrawMind are separate Wondershare subscriptions with similar names, so it is easy to buy the wrong one
Best for
- Users who want a mind map generated instantly, then keep editing it manually
- People who also draw flowcharts, org charts or floor plans and want them in one browser workspace
- Students and individuals who can use the annual discount on the Pro plan
Not for
- Anyone who wants a free, generator-only tool without a subscription
- Users who only need a single mind map and don't want an ongoing plan
