Creately is a visual workspace from Australian company Cinergix where teams draw flowcharts, mind maps, org charts, ER, UML, BPMN and some 70 other diagram types on an infinite canvas. Its AI layer, formerly branded VIZ, turns a plain-language description into a first draft built from real shapes and connectors, which you then move, rename or delete like anything drawn by hand. In 2026 Creately split into purpose-built products (Atlas for org planning, Process, Blueprint for cloud maps, Compass, Clinical) that sit on the same canvas, and AI tools are now included on every plan, including Free. It suits teams that want a starting draft inside a diagramming tool they will keep editing in.

Pros & cons of Creately
The AI draft is useful because it lands as ordinary editable Creately shapes on a canvas a team already shares, not as a picture to redraw. With AI now on the free plan and Pro at a few dollars per editor, it is cheap to try; the 40-shape ceiling on Free is what pushes real diagrams onto a paid seat.
