What our research says

CreateDraft

As a template picker wrapped around OpenAI models, CreateDraft is a faster start than a blank page, and 373 templates against 200-plus jurisdictions is a wide net. The problem is everything around it: no named company, an About page that says coming soon, and no published price for a tool that drafts binding documents. Treat the output as a first draft for a lawyer to mark up.

Pros

  • 373 named templates spanning commercial, employment, property, family and IP documents
  • Jurisdiction and language pickers covering 200-plus countries and roughly 55 languages
  • Draft length is selectable from about 500 to 2,000-plus words
  • Guests get 5,000 words a day with no account and no card

Cons

  • No company, address or jurisdiction of the vendor is published anywhere
  • The About page is literally a coming soon placeholder
  • There is no pricing page, so what unlimited credits costs after signup is unknown
  • Model choice is exposed but there is no clause library, citation or legal source behind the output

Genie AI

One of the older names in AI contract work, with real investors behind it and a Word add-in that puts review where lawyers and founders actually redline. Pricing is per-user and steep for the tier: $75 a month buys one seat and insight across 50 documents. API and MCP access require the $600-plus Enterprise tier.

Pros

  • Word add-in as well as a browser app, so redlining happens in the working document
  • 500-plus template library alongside review and Q&A
  • Free tier lets you test creation and review before paying
  • Named UK company trading since 2017, backed by GV and Khosla Ventures
  • Enterprise tier covers 150+ jurisdictions with SSO, API and MCP

Cons

  • Pro is $75/month for a single seat
  • Free plan blocks exports entirely
  • API and MCP gated behind Enterprise at $600+/month
  • Token allowances, not document counts, govern how much you can actually run
