Mobile-first AI video editor that cuts, captions, dubs and drops b-roll into talking-head footage
Captions takes a raw talking-head recording and returns an edited short. It removes dead air and filler, styles burned-in subtitles from a large preset library, inserts b-roll over the cuts, adds music, translates and dubs into other languages, and can correct eye contact so a script read off-screen looks like direct address. A second half of the product generates AI avatars and ad creative from a written script instead of footage. It runs on iPhone, Android, the web and desktop. Plans are credit-based: trimming, transitions and basic media stay free, while every generative action spends credits. It is built by NOCAP, Inc., a New York company founded in 2021 and backed by Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, a16z and Sequoia.
Max is $24.99/month for 500 credits; the Scale tiers run $69.99, $139.99 and $279.99/month for 1,400 to 5,600 credits, with Enterprise on quote. The published table is labelled as iOS plan pricing. Unused credits roll over but the balance is capped at three times the monthly allowance.

The AI edit pass genuinely removes an hour of manual cutting from a weekly-video habit. The pricing is the problem: it is credit-metered, the published table is labelled iOS-only, and the entry tier's 500 credits disappear fast once you use the generative features it exists to sell.
Watch out: The $24.99 Max tier buys 500 credits — enough for light use, but a single long avatar or AI-edit render can eat a visible slice of that. Price the work, not the plan.
