Use tool ↗About Bing Image Creator
Bing Image Creator is Microsoft's free image generator: you type a description, pick an aspect ratio and a count of one, two or four, and it returns images you can then retouch, expand or strip of their background. It launched in March 2023 on OpenAI's DALL-E, and the creation page now lists Microsoft's own MAI-Image-2.5-Flash model. Anyone with a personal Microsoft account can use it on the web, inside Copilot and Bing search, and as a mini-app in the Bing mobile app; work and school accounts are excluded. Images carry a small watermark and C2PA content credentials, and a sister Bing Video Creator makes short clips.

Pros & cons of Bing Image Creator
A good first stop for anyone who wants decent AI images for free and already has a Microsoft account; the daily fast quota covers casual use. Designers who need fine control, style references, an API or images without a watermark should look at Midjourney, Ideogram or Adobe Firefly instead.
Pros
- Free with a personal Microsoft account, no card required
- Built-in edits after generation: retouch, expand, remove background
- Works on the web, in Copilot and Bing search, and in the Bing mobile app
- Content credentials (C2PA) mark images as AI-generated
Cons
- Fast creations are capped daily; after that generation slows down
- Watermark in the corner of every image
- Not available with work or school (Entra ID) accounts, nor in Russia and China
Best for
- Casual users who want free images for posts, slides and school projects
- People already using Copilot or Bing who want generation in the same place
Not for
- Teams that need an API or bulk generation
- Professionals who need clean, unwatermarked output and fine-grained controls
Watch out: Creations are stored for up to 90 days, so download anything you want to keep. The model behind it has changed several times since 2023 (DALL-E, then Microsoft's MAI models), so older reviews describe different output.
