Neuro-symbolic decision support for industrial operations, with an audit trail behind every recommendation
Beyond Limits, which now markets itself as BeyondAI, pairs machine learning with rule-based symbolic reasoning so an industrial recommendation can be traced back to the domain constraints that produced it. The catalogue is a set of enterprise products rather than one app: Operations Advisor for decision support, Beyond Search for internal knowledge, DocLink for document extraction, and AI in a Box for on-premises deployment with Compal. It was founded in 2014 out of work at Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, is headquartered in Glendale, California, with offices in Amman, Dubai, Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and names BP and Aramco among its customers.
Nothing is priced publicly. The site sells through demo requests and strategy sessions, and deployments are scoped per site.
Use tool ↗One of the few vendors in industrial AI that treats explainability as the product rather than a slide, and the JPL lineage is real rather than decorative. If you run refineries or plants where an unexplained recommendation is unusable, that matters. Everything else about it is heavy: consulting-led delivery, no self-serve entry, and no published price.
Watch out: The company brands itself both as Beyond Limits and as BeyondAI across the same site, so contracts and case studies may not match the name on the homepage.
