Open-source tier is $0 (CLI, audit, self-hostable control plane). Nerve, the hosted control plane, is a flat $19/month per account with no per-project, seat, event or per-PR charges; the repository's pricing file says the live checkout is authoritative for taxes and billing interval.
Use tool ↗About Agentry
Agentry is a control plane that links a PostHog Cloud project to coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex or a GitHub Actions runner, so an agent can investigate a production error or analytics signal against real telemetry mapped to source code, propose a reviewable change, and measure the result after deploy. The CLI, which handles onboarding and an audit of a PostHog project, is open source under Apache 2.0, and the control plane can be self-hosted. The hosted paid layer, called Nerve, adds continuous read-only PostHog connections, scheduled error and analytics checks, deploy correlation, and guardrails such as approvals, leases, budgets and kill switches so an agent cannot make unbounded changes. Nerve costs $19 a month per account, with no per-project, per-event or per-fix charges on top.

Pros & cons of Agentry
Agentry's idea is narrow and specific: give a coding agent bounded, budgeted access to real PostHog data so it can investigate and fix production issues instead of a person doing that triage manually. The free open-source CLI means there is no cost to try the core workflow, and the guardrails suggest the team is aware of the risk in giving an agent that kind of access.
Pros
- Free, open-source CLI covers onboarding and audits with no cost
- Explicit guardrails — approvals, budgets, kill switches — limit what an agent can do unsupervised
- Flat per-account pricing with no per-project or per-fix surcharges
Cons
- Tied specifically to PostHog — no value without that analytics platform already in place
- No self-hosted option for the control plane itself, only PostHog Cloud
- Still a young, narrow tool without a track record at scale
Best for
- Teams already using PostHog who want coding agents to help triage production errors
- Engineers comfortable running an open-source CLI before committing to the paid hosted layer
Not for
- Teams not using PostHog for analytics or error tracking
- Anyone wanting a fully managed, no-setup product rather than a CLI-first tool
Watch out: The hosted control plane only supports PostHog Cloud projects; there is currently no self-hosted PostHog integration path.
