Use tool ↗About Acedit
Acedit is a Chrome extension for job interviews. Before the interview it runs mock sessions against the role you paste in; during a live call it listens through the browser tab, detects the question being asked and puts suggested answers on screen, shaped by your CV and the job description. It works with any video platform that runs in a browser, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. The operator is an Australian business trading as Acedit under ABN 43 679 351 047, with no address published. There is a free plan; the paid tiers are one-time purchases at 45 and 75 US dollars rather than subscriptions.

Pros & cons of Acedit
The mock-interview half is uncontroversial and genuinely useful practice. The live-coaching half is where you have to decide what you are comfortable with, because it feeds you answers while a real interviewer is talking. Pricing is honest, one payment with no subscription, but a lifetime licence from a vendor that publishes only an ABN carries the usual risk that lifetime means until they stop.
Pros
- Mock interviews are generated from the actual job description you paste in
- Works with any browser-based video platform rather than a single integration
- Question detection and answer suggestions appear during the call
- One-time payment with no recurring billing
Cons
- Live answer suggestions during a real interview are a policy risk with many employers
- Chrome only, with no desktop app and no other browsers listed
- The vendor publishes an ABN and a support email and little else
Best for
- Candidates rehearsing against a specific job description
- People who freeze on behavioural questions and want a structured practice loop
- Anyone who wants interview prep without a monthly subscription
Not for
- Interviews held in a desktop app rather than a browser tab
- Recruiters and employers, since this is built for the candidate side
Watch out: Plenty of employers treat real-time answer assistance as cheating, and proctored remote interviews may detect it. Practice mode is the safe half.
