Use tool ↗About NegotiateIt
NegotiateIt is a rehearsal tool for high-stakes conversations: users practice negotiations such as asking for a raise, discussing severance, or disputing rent against an AI-played opponent, then receive a breakdown of what worked and what to change next time. The free plan includes five pre-built scenarios plus one custom scenario, with a weekly session cap after the first week; the paid plan removes those limits and adds turn-by-turn analysis with session replay. It is available as a web app and through iOS and Android apps, and sign-up takes about two minutes with email or Google, no credit card needed for the free tier.

Pros & cons of NegotiateIt
NegotiateIt gives you a low-stakes place to rehearse a specific, real negotiation before having it, which is more targeted than generic interview-prep tools. The free tier is workable for occasional use but the weekly session cap and single custom scenario will feel tight if you're preparing for something big.
Pros
- Scenario-specific rehearsal (raise, severance, rent) rather than generic role-play
- Turn-by-turn feedback report after each session
- Available on web, iOS, and Android
Cons
- Free tier capped at 3 sessions/week and 1 custom scenario after the first week
- Practice is typed turn by turn, so it does not rehearse tone of voice or a spoken conversation
- Value depends on having a specific negotiation to prepare for
Best for
- Preparing for a specific upcoming raise, severance, or rent negotiation
- Practicing negotiation phrasing and tactics repeatedly before a real conversation
- Users wanting a post-session breakdown of what to change
Not for
- General interview or public-speaking practice unrelated to negotiation
- Heavy users unwilling to pay for unlimited sessions
