Use tool ↗About Windframe
Windframe is a browser-based Tailwind CSS builder from Devwares. You start from an AI prompt, a screenshot, one of roughly a thousand templates or an imported Tailwind page, arrange it in a drag-and-drop editor with a properties panel, and export the result as code for HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Angular, Svelte, Astro, SolidJS or Rails with the Tailwind config included. Components from Tailwind UI, Flowbite and daisyUI can be imported and edited. An MCP server exposes the same generation to coding agents. A free plan covers the visual editor and a subset of templates; Pro is $25 a month, $50 a quarter or $189 a year, metered in AI credits, with a $299 lifetime licence sold in limited batches. Pros & cons of Windframe
The useful combination here is AI generation plus a real visual editor plus clean Tailwind export across ten frameworks — most tools do one or two of those. Importing an existing Tailwind page and editing it visually is the feature that earns its keep on live projects. Pricing is where it gets awkward: exports are unlimited but generation is credit-metered, and the monthly plan's 50 credits go fast.
Pros
- Exports to ten frameworks including React, Vue, Svelte, Astro and Rails, with Tailwind config
- Imports existing Tailwind pages and third-party component libraries for visual editing
- Screenshot-to-code plus an MCP server so coding agents can drive it
- Roughly 1,000 templates and a genuine free plan for the editor
Cons
- AI generation is credit-metered — only 50 credits a month on the $25 plan
- Annual billing carries 9.6x the credits of monthly, so the monthly tier is poor value
- Devwares publishes no company location or team details
Best for
- Building Tailwind marketing pages faster than hand-writing the classes
- Editing an existing Tailwind page or a Flowbite/daisyUI component visually
- Developers who want generated UI as code in their own framework, not a hosted page
Not for
- Application UI with real state and data binding
- Teams standardised on a non-Tailwind design system
Watch out: The lifetime licences run on artificial scarcity — a fixed batch with a claimed-count ticker — so do not let the countdown drive the decision.
