What The Diff reads a pull request diff through the GitHub or GitLab API and posts a plain-English description of what changed, so whoever opened the PR does not have to write one. It also emits simplified and translated summaries for non-engineers, a public changelog with a JSON feed, weekly progress digests, and inline refactor suggestions during review. Billing runs on tokens consumed against diff size — an average PR costs around 2,300 tokens — with a free monthly allowance and a single paid tier. The vendor states diffs are processed but code is not stored.
The free plan gives 25,000 tokens a month, roughly ten pull requests, across unlimited repositories with rate limiting. Pro is $19/month for 200,000 tokens, about 40 PRs, and adds Slack, webhook and email notifications plus priority email support. Unused tokens do not roll over into the next month and plans are never upgraded automatically.

The catch is a token meter tied to diff size, so a handful of large refactors can drain a month's allowance, and there is only one paid step above free.
