Use tool ↗About Thumix
Thumix is a browser studio for YouTube thumbnails and covers. A creator can paste a video whose thumbnail style they like and get that layout and colour treatment rebuilt around their own face and topic, start from niche templates for gaming, vlogs, education or tech, or generate from a prompt and then edit text and layers on a canvas. It routes generations to several image models at 2 to 5 credits each and has added image-to-video and text-to-video tools. Credits are sold in one-time packs rather than a subscription, and a Google sign-in gives enough free credit for one thumbnail.

Pros & cons of Thumix
Thumix's style-recreation trick — feed it a thumbnail you admire and get your own version with your face in the same layout — is a useful shortcut for creators chasing a proven visual format. Pricing is now one-time credit packs from $7.99 that never expire, which suits channels that post in bursts better than a monthly plan. Anyone who wants a long-term archive of their designs should download as they go.
Pros
- Recreates an existing thumbnail's style rather than starting from a blank prompt
- One-time credit packs from $7.99 with no subscription and no expiry
- Lets you pick between several image models at a stated credit cost each
- Includes a layer and text canvas for edits after generation
Cons
- Generated images and videos are deleted from history after 7 days
- The free allowance covers a single thumbnail
- No public API found
Best for
- YouTubers who want to copy a proven thumbnail style quickly
- Gaming, vlog, education and tech channels starting from niche templates
- Creators who post irregularly and prefer credits that do not expire over a subscription
Not for
- Teams that need generated images kept in the app as a long-term library
- Designers who want full manual control in a traditional editor
Watch out: Studio History keeps outputs for only 7 days before deleting them, so download every thumbnail you might reuse.
