Tubly is a Chrome extension and web app that reads your YouTube subscriptions and the video you are currently watching, then produces a summary, a chapter and topic list whose entries deep-link to the exact moment on YouTube, and a full editable transcript you can copy in one click. A chat side panel answers questions about the video, and highlights and timestamp clips can be saved and revisited without replaying anything. The terms name Brazil as the governing jurisdiction. Billing is a Stripe subscription: a free trial, then 4.99 dollars a month, which also carries a newsletter of summarised videos.

Use tool ↗The useful part is not the summary — everyone does summaries — it is that the chapters link back to the timestamp, so the summary is a table of contents rather than a replacement for watching. At five dollars a month with the extension running on every watch page it is priced like a browser utility, which is what it is.
Watch out: Billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first, and partial months are not refunded.
