Use tool ↗About StemSplit
StemSplit pulls the vocal out of a song or splits it into four or six stems (vocals, drums, bass, other, plus piano and guitar) from an uploaded file or a pasted YouTube or SoundCloud link, returning results in roughly 30 to 60 seconds. It is sold as pay-as-you-go minutes rather than a subscription: five free minutes at signup, then one-time packs from $2 for 10 minutes to $30 for 300, and the minutes never expire. Common audio formats up to 100 MB are accepted, uploads are deleted after 48 hours, and every pack includes the REST API with signed webhooks, SDKs for Node and Python, an MCP server and guides for n8n, Zapier and Make. The site names no company or location.

Pros & cons of StemSplit
StemSplit is a straightforward pay-as-you-go vocal and stem separator that also takes YouTube and SoundCloud links directly, saving the step of downloading audio first. The free REST API with webhooks and ready n8n/Zapier guides make it easy to bolt into an existing workflow, though as with other tools in this batch, there is no visible company name behind it.
Pros
- Accepts direct YouTube and SoundCloud links, not just file uploads
- Free REST API with webhooks included on all accounts
- Credits never expire
- Wide format support up to 100 MB, with 4-stem or 6-stem separation options
Cons
- No subscription option for predictable heavy usage
- No company name or location published
- Separation quality for dense mixes is not independently verified here
Best for
- Producers and DJs who need quick instrumental or acapella versions of a track
- Developers automating stem separation into another workflow via the free API
Not for
- Anyone needing a subscription with unlimited processing
- Users who need to verify a named, accountable vendor before uploading copyrighted audio
Watch out: Running other people's copyrighted tracks through a stem separator for redistribution can raise copyright issues independent of anything the tool itself does.
