Marketplace that matches event organizers with speakers from a claimed 70,000-profile pool, with no bureau commission.
SpeakUp is a two-sided marketplace for booking speakers. Organizers post a structured brief - event format, audience, topic, language, budget - and the platform ranks matching profiles from a pool it says holds over 70,000 verified experts across 13 speaking formats, from keynotes and panels to podcast guests, corporate trainers and university lecturers. Organizers can also search the directory with filters, run private speaker calls, manage applications in a pipeline and message candidates in-app; speakers keep a profile and apply to calls. Deals close between the two parties, so no bureau takes a cut. Free iOS and Android apps sit alongside the web app. It is operated by Shelp FZ-LLC in Dubai together with SpeakUp Global Inc. in Delaware.
Free Starter covers 1 active event, 3 speaker calls, 30% of the directory with up to 3 filters and 1 direct invite a month. Growth is $79/month (5 events, 20 calls, 100 invites, 5 seats), Professional $179 and Enterprise $399. Annual billing gives two months free. Speakers are billed on a separate price sheet.
Use tool ↗SpeakUp does the unglamorous part of event production - turning a brief into a shortlist - and charges for it as software instead of taking a booking commission. Directory size is the vendor's own number and cannot be audited from outside, so treat 70,000 as a claim. The free tier is real but narrow: one active event and 30% of the directory is a demo, not a workflow.
Watch out: The MCP assistant hook, deep analytics and dedicated onboarding only start at the $179 Professional tier.
