Conversational language tutor that role-plays scenarios and grades pronunciation in 30+ languages.
SpeakPal is a spoken-practice tutor rather than a vocabulary drill. You hold a role-play conversation with the AI, and it corrects grammar in real time and scores pronunciation on sounds, stress and rhythm, with accent options that include British, American, Australian, Welsh and Indian English. It covers more than thirty languages under one account, offers downloadable courses and audio, issues CEFR-style assessments and QR-verifiable certificates, and has a Teen Mode that filters generated content. It runs on web, iOS and Android with progress syncing between them. Registration is free with no time limit; premium features exist but the plan page did not render prices for us.
The site states registration and use are free with no credit card and no time limit, with an optional upgrade for premium features. The pricing page is a client-rendered app and returned no readable figures on repeated fetches, so no entry price is recorded.
Use tool ↗The speaking half of language learning is where most apps are weakest, and that is exactly what SpeakPal targets: unscripted role-play with pronunciation feedback rather than multiple choice. Thirty-plus languages and separate English accents on one account is unusual breadth. The unknown is cost — the vendor never surfaces a readable price, which makes budgeting awkward.
Watch out: There is no readable pricing page — you find out what premium costs only after registering.
