What our research says

Replit

Still the most complete build-and-ship-from-a-browser setup, and the new credit-free Free Mode makes everyday iteration cheaper than it was. The bill is still set by the agent, though: anything that needs the stronger models draws on a $20 balance on Core and then runs pay-as-you-go by effort.

Pros

  • Editor, agent, database, storage and publishing in one browser workspace
  • Free Mode allowance refreshes every few hours on paid plans, so routine chat does not burn credits
  • Annual billing trims Core to $18 and Pro to $90
  • iOS and Android apps for checking and nudging builds on the go

Cons

  • Effort-based overage makes the bill unknowable in advance
  • Core's $20 of model credits goes quickly on agent-heavy work
  • The free Starter plan has dropped off the pricing page, so the free path is harder to judge
  • No public API found for driving the agent programmatically

Sentrely

Sentrely is no longer an AI-agent control plane; it is now a managed build service where AI agents write the code and Sentrely's engineers review and sign off, with the software running in the client's own accounts. That ownership-plus-human-review model answers the main complaints about vibe-coding apps, but it is priced and sold like an agency, with nothing public to compare before a call. Teams that came for agent policy enforcement and audit logs need a different tool.

Pros

  • code, data and infrastructure stay in accounts the client owns
  • human engineers review and sign off on AI changes
  • every change is backed up and can be rewound
  • AI usage billed by the model provider rather than through a credit meter
  • named account manager in Slack plus on-call support

Cons

  • no public pricing; every project is scoped on a call
  • service model means delivery depends on the vendor's engineering capacity
  • comparison table against Base44, Replit and Lovable is the vendor's own
  • little public track record for the new service so far

Which one fits

Choose Replit if you need

  • Solo builders who want code, database and hosting in one account without local setup
  • Prototypers who can do most iteration in Free Mode and save credits for hard steps
  • Small teams (up to 15 on Pro) shipping internal tools from a browser

Choose Sentrely if you need

  • non-technical founders who need production software but do not want to manage an AI coding tool themselves
  • small businesses that want custom internal tools running in cloud accounts they own
