What our research says

Replit

The most complete build-and-ship-from-a-browser setup available, but the pricing model shifted underneath it — you are buying a credit balance, and the agent decides how fast it drains.

Pros

  • Agent, database, hosting and deploy live in one account with no local install
  • The free Starter tier still allows a published project
  • Credits carry a stated dollar value, so overage arithmetic is at least legible
  • $20/month entry price is low for everything bundled in

Cons

  • Effort-based overage makes the bill unknowable in advance
  • The included $25 of credits on Core goes quickly on agent-heavy work
  • Monthly billing is priced above the annual rate on every tier
  • No public API for driving the agent programmatically

Resleeve

Resleeve now bundles app generation, marketing media and automation agents under one wallet, which is convenient if you genuinely need all three and dislike paying four subscriptions. The wallet model is the honest part of the pricing: you see exactly what each action costs instead of guessing at a feature tier. The problem for anyone finding it through an AI directory is that the product they were sent to look at — apparel design — is not what the site sells any more.

Pros

  • Named legal entity and physical address published (Resleeve B.V., High Tech Campus, Eindhoven)
  • $25 of free credits without a card, which is more than most trials
  • Covers app and site generation, image, audio and video, automations and support agents in one account
  • Wallet pricing makes per-action costs visible instead of hiding them behind tier names
  • Entry plan at $19/month is low for the breadth on offer

Cons

  • The product has pivoted away from the fashion-design tool most listings still describe
  • A $19 balance disappears quickly if you generate video, so effective cost is usage-driven
  • Breadth over depth — each of the five tool families competes with specialists that do more

Which one fits

Choose Replit if you need

  • Non-engineers turning an idea into a deployed, hosted application
  • Developers prototyping without touching any local setup
  • Classrooms and workshops where nothing can be installed

Choose Resleeve if you need

  • Solo founders who want app building, marketing media and automations on one balance
  • Trying prompt-to-app generation with $25 of credits and no card
  • Small teams in the EU who prefer a Dutch-registered vendor for data-residency reasons
