Refact.ai is an AI development agent with an open-source core: it plans and executes multi-step engineering tasks, chats about code inside the IDE, and serves fast autocompletion backed by retrieval over your codebase. Plugins cover VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Visual Studio, Neovim and Sublime, and teams that cannot send code to a vendor cloud can self-host the whole stack, including on-prem models and fine-tuning. A free tier allows limited daily agent use, Pro is $10 a month, and enterprise deployments are priced separately. The company behind it is Small Magellanic Cloud AI.
