Use tool ↗About QRCode.ing
QRCode.ing generates QR codes whose background is an animated GIF, picked from a search library or uploaded. Every code is dynamic — it points at a short link you can repoint later without reprinting — and saved codes report scans to a dashboard. It also builds linkpages (bio-link style pages with blocks) and covers the usual code types: URL, vCard, WiFi, text, email, SMS, social, file download. No plan, including free, adds a watermark. Guest codes made without an account require a CAPTCHA and expire; saving to an account keeps them alive. Paid tiers add labels, CSV export, smart routing by device and country, A/B testing, an API and webhooks.

Pros & cons of QRCode.ing
Most dynamic-QR vendors put a watermark or a hard scan cliff on the free tier; this one does neither, and the animated GIF background is a real differentiator in print and on screens. Pricing is fully published including a no-subscription event pack. The unknown is who runs it: the terms of service name only QRCode.ing under Delaware law, with no company entity or address, which is uncomfortable for codes you are about to print on physical signage.
Pros
- No watermark on any tier, free included
- All codes are dynamic by default, so destinations stay editable after printing
- Published price ladder from $9.99 to $99.99 plus a one-time $49 event package
- API access at 20k calls/month from the $29.99 Pro tier, with webhooks and smart routing
Cons
- Terms of service name no company entity or address beyond QRCode.ing and Delaware governing law
- Codes made as a guest expire after 24 hours; keeping them alive requires an account that stays active
- Business scans are a soft limit rather than a contractual one
Best for
- Event organisers who need a handful of permanent codes without a subscription
- Marketers who want to repoint a printed code later and watch the scans
- Anyone who wants an eye-catching animated code rather than a plain black square
Not for
- Enterprises that need a vendor entity, a DPA and contractual uptime
- High-volume programmes above the 500,000 monthly scan soft limit
Watch out: A dynamic code stops working if the account lapses — printed signage is only as durable as the subscription behind it.
