What our research says

Mindtrip

Mindtrip is the most complete of the chat trip planners because the chat, the itinerary and the map are the same object rather than three panes that drift apart. Booking inside the app is what makes it free, and also what shapes the recommendations. Group editing and Google Maps import remove the two chores that usually push people back into a shared doc.

Pros

  • Itinerary, map and chat stay synchronised in one view
  • Imports saved places from Google Maps and can start a trip from a photo
  • Books flights, hotels, restaurants and experiences without leaving the app
  • Free to plan with no subscription gate

Cons

  • Revenue comes from bookings, so recommendations are not neutral
  • No Android app listed
  • Car rentals and tours are still marked as coming soon

WanderAI

WanderAI is a straightforward itinerary generator: give it a destination and trip length, get a plan back, then ask for tweaks. With no pricing, company name, or country disclosed anywhere, it reads as an early or side-project launch rather than a business with a track record.

Pros

  • Generates a full itinerary from minimal input (destination and duration)
  • Supports iterative refinement rather than a one-shot static plan
  • Free to use with no payment prompt encountered
  • Live product with a public sign-up flow, not just a landing page

Cons

  • No company name, country, or founding date disclosed anywhere on the site
  • No pricing page, so there's no way to know if or when it might start charging
  • No visible booking integration; itineraries appear to be planning-only
