GENjourney

GENjourney is a small, solo-built itinerary generator rather than a funded product, and the hourly rate limit in place of pricing suggests it runs more as a side project than a business. It does the basic job of turning trip details into a mapped itinerary, but this research found little evidence of ongoing development or differentiation from larger competitors.

Cons

  • Hourly rate limit restricts how many itineraries can be generated in a session

Mindtrip

Mindtrip is the most complete of the chat trip planners because the chat, the itinerary and the map are the same object rather than three panes that drift apart. Booking inside the app is what makes it free, and also what shapes the recommendations. Group editing and Google Maps import remove the two chores that usually push people back into a shared doc.
