Use tool ↗About Mem
Mem is a notes workspace with an agent on top that keeps a running picture of your tasks, projects and the people involved. You capture by voice with a push-to-remember shortcut, by web clipper or through bot-free meeting recording, and the agent files the notes, answers questions from them and sends proactive nudges. Paid tiers add custom routines and connections to other services. Apps cover web, Mac, Windows and iOS, and a documented developer API and MCP server let other tools create and search notes.

Pros & cons of Mem
Mem is one of the few note apps where the agent actually follows up on what you wrote, tracking open tasks and nudging you, rather than only answering questions. The pricing is now a quota ladder: Plus at $9 is cheap but caps you at 50 messages and 50 new notes a month, so anyone who captures daily will land on Pro at $29 or above.
Pros
- Agent tracks tasks and projects across notes and sends proactive nudges
- Voice capture and bot-free meeting notes feed the same workspace
- Developer API and MCP server for connecting other tools
- Markdown export of notes and collections
Cons
- Every tier caps new notes and agent messages per month, so cost scales with how much you write
- Routines and connections start only at the $29 Pro tier
- No Android app on the download page
Best for
- Founders and managers who dump meetings, voice memos and clips into one place and want them filed
- Consultants who need commitments from calls tracked without a meeting bot
- Mac and Windows users who want a capture shortcut that works from any app
Not for
- Android users, since no Android app is listed
- Heavy note-takers who want unlimited notes for a flat low price
Watch out: The quota covers new notes as well as agent messages: at 50 notes a month, Plus runs out in a couple of weeks of daily capture. Mem has also repriced and repositioned several times, so expect the ladder to move again.
