Maple is a privacy-focused AI chat assistant that encrypts conversations on the user's device before sending them to the server, then processes them inside hardware-isolated secure enclaves so that, per the vendor's claim, not even Maple's own engineers can read the plaintext. It runs only open-source and open-weight models rather than proprietary ones. The product has grown into three parts: Maple Research (a document- and web-search workspace), Maple Agent (long-term memory across conversations), and Maple Proxy (an encrypted API for developers).
