Use tool ↗About Komiko
Komiko is a generator aimed squarely at anime and manga fans rather than at general image work. You build an original character once and reuse it, generate art in a set of anime styles, lay pages out on a comic canvas, and animate a still image or a text prompt into a short clip. Everything is metered in credits the site calls Zaps, so image and video work draw on the same monthly pool and unused credits do not carry into the next cycle. Free accounts get a starting allocation plus a daily login bonus, which is enough to judge output quality. The cheapest paid tier is under ten dollars a month for five thousand Zaps, with larger tiers at twenty and fifty. Its terms name a San Francisco address and California law.

Pros & cons of Komiko
A focused anime toolkit where character reuse and the comic canvas do more work than the raw generator does. The credit economics are the thing to watch: video burns roughly twenty times an image, and anything you do not spend each month is gone.
Pros
- Original character tool keeps a design consistent across generations
- Comic canvas assembles panels rather than leaving you loose images
- Image-to-video and text-to-video share the same credit pool
- Free daily login credits let you keep testing without paying
Cons
- Zaps expire monthly with no rollover
- Video is expensive in credits: the top tier buys 5,480 images or only 274 videos
- No API and no desktop app
- No named legal entity anywhere on the site, only a DMCA contact
Best for
- Fan artists building a recurring original character
- Webtoon and comic hobbyists who want panels laid out, not just images
- Anyone testing anime-style image-to-video without a monthly commitment
Not for
- Photorealistic or commercial product imagery
- Teams that need an API or batch generation
Watch out: Credits reset every month and do not roll over, so a light month is money burnt.
