Basic $9.99/month for 1,500 credits, Plus $19.99/month for 4,500; unused credits roll over and never expire. A comic page is 50 credits and story video about 150 credits a second, so Basic buys 30 pages or roughly ten seconds of video. Credit packs ($9.99 for 1,500 up to $109.99 for 30,000) are top-ups that require an active plan. The home page promises 100 free credits with no card; the pricing page says every account starts with a plan.

About ComicInk

ComicInk generates comic issues from a written premise: it storyboards the panels, holds character appearance steady across pages, and renders in 12 comic and 12 video art styles across 22 languages. The same script and cast can be pushed into multi-scene video at 720p, and existing comics can be converted into animated films; an iOS app covers comics but not video. Billing has moved to subscriptions: Basic is $9.99 a month for 1,500 credits and Plus $19.99 for 4,500, a comic page costs 50 credits and story video about 150 credits a second, and unused credits roll over without expiring. One-time packs from $9.99 for 1,500 credits to $109.99 for 30,000 are top-ups that need an active plan. The home page still advertises 100 free credits on signup with no card. Terms are governed by Washington State law.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of ComicInk

high confidence

A comic generator that takes character consistency seriously and, unusually, lets the same cast carry into animated scenes. It has moved from buy-once credit packs to a $9.99 subscription, which is softened for regular users by credits that roll over, but occasional creators now need an active plan before they can top up. The catch is still the exchange rate on video: a month of Basic is thirty comic pages or about ten seconds of footage.

Pros

  • Holds character appearance consistent across pages and scenes
  • 24 art styles and 22 languages from the same prompt
  • Comics can be converted into animated multi-scene video, live for every signed-in account
  • Unused subscription credits roll over and never expire, per the FAQ even after cancellation
  • Terms assign rights in generated output to the user, including for commercial resale

Cons

  • Video costs about 150 credits a second against 50 for a comic page
  • Credit packs are top-ups only and require an active subscription
  • The iOS app cannot do video at all - that requires the web studio
  • No API, so nothing can be automated or batched from outside
  • Refunds on unused credits are discretionary within 14 days; used credits are never refunded

Best for

  • Indie creators publishing short comic issues every month
  • Anyone who wants a comic and a matching animated teaser from one script
  • Hobbyists who will bank rollover credits rather than lose them

Not for

  • Teams producing video at length, where 150 credits a second empties a plan in seconds
  • Occasional users who wanted to buy one pack and walk away - packs now need an active plan

Watch out: Credits consumed by a render that completes are non-refundable even if you hate the result, unused-credit refunds are at the vendor's discretion within 14 days, and App Store purchases can only be refunded through Apple.
