Use tool ↗About Comicory
Comicory converts a written story into a paneled comic strip, manga chapter or comic book. A user writes or pastes a story, picks one of 21 art styles (10 of them free), and the tool drafts a paneled script that can be edited before any art is drawn; each character and location gets a locked reference so faces and settings stay consistent across panels and chapters. Everything draws on one credit pool: a script costs 4 credits and each panel, character or location costs 1, with failed renders refunded. Finished comics export as multi-page or print-ready PDF, PNG pages, one long scrolling image, ZIP or CBZ, and paid plans remove the watermark and allow uploads of your own characters.

Pros & cons of Comicory
Comicory turns a script into a drawn comic without needing separate illustration software, and its character-reference locking keeps a face from drifting between panels, which is the usual failure point for AI comic generators. The catch is that every step from script to panel spends credits, so a full multi-chapter comic adds up fast even on a paid plan.
Pros
- Locks a character reference image so faces stay consistent across panels and pages
- 21 art styles including manga, 10 of them on the free plan
- Generates the full paneled script before spending credits on art, so the story can be edited first
- Exports as PDF, print-ready KDP PDF, PNG pages, a scrolling image, ZIP or CBZ
Cons
- Every script draft, character portrait, and panel render spends separate credits, so costs compound quickly
- No public API found for integrating comic generation into another product
- Company's headquarters country isn't disclosed
Best for
- Writers turning a short story into comic or manga pages
- Concept work for consistent-looking characters across many panels
- Quick multi-panel drafts before commissioning a human illustrator
Not for
- Studios needing panel-by-panel art direction control
- Anyone expecting a finished comic from the free signup credits alone
Watch out: Credits drain fast once a story needs several characters and many panels — a full comic can cost more than the entry pack covers.
