Glarity
Solid if you read across languages all day and want summaries where the content already sits, but less compelling now that browsers and several free extensions do the same job. Cross-language reading is where it still earns its keep.
Pros
- One extension covers YouTube, search, Twitter, Gmail and plain pages
- Handles far longer inputs than the free tier of a general chatbot
- Bring-your-own-key option avoids paying a second subscription
- Available beyond Chrome, including Edge, Safari, Firefox and Opera
Cons
- The pricing table only renders in JavaScript, so plans are hard to compare before signing up
- Token metering makes cost unpredictable across long videos
- No API, so it cannot be wired into a workflow
- Site copy and footer still carry a 2024 date, which reads stale against the product
