What our research says

Formulator

The distinguishing feature is that it hands back plain HTML and CSS instead of trapping the design in a hosted site, which makes it useful as a component sketchpad next to a real codebase. Everything else is early: beta URL, three templates, ten AI requests, and no visible business behind it.

Pros

  • Free unlimited HTML and CSS export, so output is portable
  • Eleven direct manipulation builder tools with live preview
  • AI generation from a text prompt or an image as a starting point
  • Template and component library with 2,000+ font icons included

Cons

  • Still in beta with only three prebuilt templates
  • AI generation is capped at 10 free requests with no published way to buy more
  • No company, country or team named; a single personal email is the only contact

Relume

Relume is for people who already ship marketing sites in Webflow or Figma and want the structural work, sitemap and wireframes, done in minutes from components they trust; because it assembles human-built blocks instead of generating code, the output is clean enough to hand to a client. If you do not use Webflow, Figma or React, most of what makes it valuable disappears, and the AI allowance is vague enough that heavy users should expect to climb tiers.

Pros

  • Output is built from 1,000+ human-made components, so it is predictable and exportable rather than hallucinated layout
  • Three export targets, Webflow, Figma and React with Tailwind and shadcn, from one project
  • No per-seat charge for editors, which agencies notice
  • A real free plan and a $14 entry tier, with an MCP server for agent-driven building

Cons

  • AI limits are described in words ('enough for one full website') rather than numbers
  • Every paid price is a 'from' figure, so the monthly cost is only clear at checkout
  • Hosting is still in beta, so a Relume-published site is a bet on a young service
  • Useless outside the Webflow, Figma and React ecosystems

Which one fits

Choose Formulator if you need

  • Sketching a landing page or component and exporting the markup
  • Developers who want a visual step before hand-writing CSS
  • One-page sites where a full CMS is overkill

Choose Relume if you need

  • Webflow freelancers and agencies that want sitemap and wireframe drafts from a brief in one sitting
  • Designers who want the same component system in Figma, Webflow and React without rebuilding it
  • Small teams prototyping a marketing site that will be exported, not hosted on a no-code platform forever
