Fixkey is a small macOS utility that lives behind a keyboard shortcut. Select text anywhere, in Mail, Slack or a browser field, and it fixes grammar, rewrites in a tone you choose, or translates; hold the key instead and it converts speech to text, covering more than 180 languages. You can save your own prompts so rewrites match how you actually write. It is Mac-only, with no Windows build and no browser extension, and the makers say only that it was built in Europe. The pricing page lists a single Pro plan at 48 US dollars a year.

At 48 dollars a year it undercuts the usual writing-assistant subscriptions by a wide margin. The trade-off is a thin vendor: no company name, no address, and a single developer email in the footer.
Watch out: Vendor identity amounts to a first name and an email address. Read the privacy terms before piping work text through it.
