What our research says

Competely

Competely is a competitor-monitoring subscription dressed as a research tool: you get an on-demand comparison plus a standing watch that emails you when a rival changes pricing or messaging. The export and viewer-sharing make it practical for agencies billing the output onward. A free account now shows a real analysis against two competitors, but monitoring and full-size projects start at $39 a month.

Pros

  • Continuous monitoring with scheduled email briefs, not just a one-shot report
  • CSV and PDF export plus unlimited viewer sharing on every tier
  • Clear, published price ladder from $39 to $99 with no sales call
  • Project and competitor limits are stated per tier rather than hidden

Cons

  • The free account covers a single analysis against two competitors; briefs and monitoring need a paid plan
  • Analysis runs are rationed (3 to 5 a month) rather than unlimited
  • Single seat on Starter and Pro; extra seats are $20/month each

Crayon

Crayon is one of the established names in competitive intelligence, and its strength is distribution rather than collection: intel is useless if it stops at an analyst, so the product pushes battlecards into the CRM and Slack where reps actually are. Win-loss and influenced-revenue reporting give the programme something to justify itself with at renewal. The cost is opacity — nothing is priced publicly and there is no self-serve path in.

Pros

  • Monitors a broad set of public competitor signals and scores them by importance rather than volume
  • Publishes battlecards directly into Salesforce, Slack, Highspot and Gong
  • Win-loss analysis and influenced-revenue reporting are part of the platform
  • Integration list covers the surrounding sales stack including Gong and ZoomInfo

Cons

  • No published pricing at any tier and no self-serve signup
  • No documented public API on the marketing site
  • Sold as an enterprise programme, so onboarding is a project not a signup
  • Value depends on someone curating the intel; the tool does not replace an analyst
