The homepage says a subscription starts at $16 a month; the pricing page itself shows only a Pro subscription with monthly or yearly billing (yearly saves 20%) and sends you into the app for the actual figures. Pay-as-you-go tokens for AI generation are sold to non-subscribers, with prices visible only inside the app. No free tier is described beyond a 'make my video free' call to action.

Overview

About Tellers

Tellers is a browser video editor built around an editing agent: you describe the video, it searches your uploaded footage or Pexels stock, builds a cut on a multi-track timeline, adds music, captions, titles and motion graphics, and reworks pacing, structure or vertical reframing from further text instructions while you review each change. Assets can also be generated inside the editor through third-party models for video, image, voice, music, sound effects and transcription. Renders happen in the cloud, and a project can leave as an MP4, publish straight to social platforms, or export as XML for Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Avid, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut. The company is a French SAS registered in Lyon with a team in Paris, and lists NVIDIA Inception, the HEC Paris incubator and AWS startup programs as backers.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of Tellers

medium confidence

Tellers' pitch is an editing agent that still leaves a real, editable timeline instead of a black-box render, which is a real differentiator against pure text-to-video generators. Whether the agent's automatic cuts save time versus editing from scratch is something only a hands-on trial can answer.

Pros

  • Keeps an editable multi-track timeline instead of a locked render
  • Pulls from Pexels stock footage plus multiple built-in AI generation models
  • Cloud rendering and 200GB storage included in the base plan
  • Backed by recognized accelerators including NVIDIA Inception and HEC Paris

Cons

  • No offline or desktop app, browser-dependent workflow
  • Exact token pricing for the pay-as-you-go option only loads inside the app, not the marketing site

Best for

  • Solo creators who want an assistant to build a first cut from raw footage
  • Users who want AI-generated visuals mixed into a normal, editable timeline

Not for

  • Users wanting a fully automatic, no-timeline video generator
  • Teams needing desktop-grade color grading or audio mixing tools
