AppFlowy is an open-source alternative to Notion: pages, wikis, kanban, grid and timeline databases, forms and charts, plus an AI layer that searches the workspace with cited sources, drafts text, auto-fills database columns and turns meetings into notes. Native clients ship for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android and the browser, and the whole stack can be run on your own servers if you would rather not hand documents to a vendor. The cloud version has a free Personal plan for one owner with a limited AI trial, and a per-member Pro plan that includes AI, unlimited storage, guests and 90-day version history.

Pros & cons of AppFlowy
The most complete open-source answer to Notion right now: real desktop and mobile apps, a database model that holds up, and the option to keep everything on hardware you control. AI is now folded into the Pro seat rather than sold as add-ons, but the free cloud plan shrank to a single owner with 100 MB, so collaboration means paying per member. Self-hosting is genuinely supported but you inherit the ops work.
