Aphid vs Relevance AI

Two fact sheets from our own research, side by side — pricing, platforms, API access and status re-checked by us rather than quoted from the vendors. Aphid publishes a starting price ($9.99); Relevance AI does not. Both have a free tier. Only Relevance AI ships a public API.

What our research says

Aphid

Cheap enough to test properly, with mobile apps and a genuine free tier, which puts it ahead of most personal-agent products that gate everything behind a waitlist. What you get for the money is a credit budget rather than uncapped autonomy, and the marketing promises far more than the credit allowances can deliver.

Pros

  • Real free tier with one Clone and 25 run credits, no card required
  • iOS and Android apps alongside the web product
  • Named integrations on paid tiers: Slack, Shopify, Microsoft 365 and HubSpot
  • Entry paid plan at $9.99 a month is among the lowest in the agent category

Cons

  • Everything is metered in run credits, and the allowances are small
  • No public API documentation despite a plan tier called Developer
  • The pitch stretches to areas like trading and legal work that no consumer agent should be trusted with

Relevance AI

A credible no-code agent builder, but pricing has moved behind a sales conversation and the two-meter billing makes running cost genuinely hard to forecast.

Pros

  • Agents get tools, knowledge and schedules without any code
  • Free tier of 200 actions a month is enough to prototype something real
  • Model cost is passed through without markup on vendor credits
  • Agents can be grouped into teams that hand work between each other

Cons

  • Self-serve prices are no longer published anywhere on the site
  • Two simultaneous meters make budgeting awkward and surprises likely
  • Top-up rates are steep at $80 per 1,000 actions
  • Smaller vendor than the incumbents it is competing against

Which one fits

Choose Aphid if you need

  • Solo operators wanting a cheap agent to handle routine replies and scheduling
  • People who want an agent on their phone as well as in a browser
  • Anyone testing the idea before committing to a heavier agent platform

Choose Relevance AI if you need

  • Ops and go-to-market teams automating repetitive research or outreach
  • Companies that want working agents without hiring engineers to build them
  • Workloads where per-task cost matters more than per-seat cost
