Overview

About amaiko

amaiko is an assistant that installs into Microsoft Teams and works across Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and OneDrive, with connectors for Google Workspace, Box and CRM tools. It keeps a memory of past projects and customers, captures knowledge from daily conversations, drafts documents, runs web research, generates images and triages the inbox without a separate app. A separate edition routes every request through Mistral models processed in the EU. It is built by amaiko GmbH, a company founded in 2025 in the Bavarian town of Viechtach, which hosts data in Germany and sells by the seat from five users.

Editorial verdict

Pros & cons of amaiko

high confidence

amaiko's pitch is avoiding another app: it lives entirely inside Teams and Microsoft 365, drafting documents and minutes and triaging email using context it's already absorbed from an organization's conversations. The German hosting and GDPR framing is a real differentiator for European buyers specifically, but that also makes the pitch narrower for teams outside the Microsoft ecosystem or outside Europe.

Pros

  • Runs natively inside Teams rather than as a separate destination app
  • Connects across the full Microsoft 365 suite plus Google Workspace, HubSpot, and Dynamics 365
  • German hosting and GDPR compliance explicitly addressed, including a certified R&D status seal
  • One-click installation from the Teams store

Cons

  • Priced in euros, so US-based buyers deal with currency conversion and exchange-rate drift
  • Deep dependence on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem limits it for mixed-tool organizations
  • Per-seat pricing scales linearly with headcount, which adds up for larger teams

Best for

  • Organizations already standardized on Microsoft Teams and 365 wanting an assistant without adding a new app
  • European companies for whom GDPR compliance and German data hosting are a procurement requirement
  • Teams wanting inbox triage handled automatically, with meeting minutes available as a paid add-on

Not for

  • Organizations not using Microsoft 365 as their core productivity suite
  • Buyers who specifically want US-based hosting or support

Watch out: The euro price most often quoted is a new-customer offer that runs until 31 December 2026; the standard rate is higher, plans start at five seats, and meeting notes cost extra as an add-on.
