alphaXiv is a research discovery site built on top of arXiv by a team of Stanford graduates who started it in 2024 and later raised seed funding. It lets users search papers by topic, see who is publishing in an area, comment directly on paper sections, and generate literature-review answers that cite the specific passages they come from. There's also an MCP server for pulling the same search into other tools. The site carries no visible pricing or paid tier; every feature we found sits behind a free account.
