Ajelix

Use it narrowly, as a formula and macro translator for when you know the outcome you want but not the syntax. The newer agentic-workspace framing puts it up against far better-funded BI tools, and $39 is steep for the one job most people came for.

Pros

  • an Excel add-in and Google Sheets add-on keep the work inside the spreadsheet
  • handles both directions: generating formulas and explaining existing ones
  • tier limits are stated concretely as file size, storage and CPU/RAM instead of vague credits
  • covers Apps Script and VBA, which most spreadsheet assistants ignore

Cons

  • 10 free requests a month is barely a trial
  • $39 entry is expensive next to Copilot or a general assistant doing the same formula work
  • no public API despite the automation and agent positioning
  • the dashboard and app-builder features are shallow compared with dedicated BI tooling

SheetGod

Broader than the usual formula bot: as well as formulas it writes VBA macros, Apps Script and regex, which covers the awkward middle ground where a spreadsheet user needs actual code. The Sheets add-on means you do not leave the document. Against that, the pricing is invisible until you register and the product sits at the edge of BoloForms' attention, which is really an e-signature company.
