Use tool ↗About AI Map
AI Map puts a natural-language layer over a map. Instead of typing a business name or picking a category you describe the outing, somewhere to go stargazing, a place to buy orange blossom, a Michelin-rated Thai restaurant, and it returns nearby places ranked for that description; the vendor calls this descriptive navigation and says more specific prompts narrow the results. It now ships on both the App Store and Google Play, where the Android listing carries the name AI Map & Trip Planner, while the website remains a one-page shell with a four-question FAQ and a contact form. The App Store entry dates the first release to June 2023 and the last update to May 2024. The publisher is Panic LLC, whose own site is a single paragraph and an email address.

Pros & cons of AI Map
The idea holds up: describing an activity beats guessing which category a place is filed under, and on a phone that is a better input than a search box. What has changed since the last look is only distribution, with an Android build now on Google Play; everything else is as thin as before, with a 2024 copyright, no price, no company details and an iOS build last updated in May 2024. Worth a free install if the premise appeals, not worth planning around.
Pros
- Activity-style prompts work better than category browsing for vague intents
- Results are ranked for the described intent rather than by proximity alone
- Refining the wording narrows results, so the search is iterative rather than one-shot
- Free to install on both stores with no account wall on the marketing site
Cons
- No published price for the premium tier anywhere outside the store purchase sheets
- The iOS app has not been updated since May 2024 and the site still carries a 2024 copyright
- No web version or API
- The publisher is unidentifiable beyond an LLC name and a ProtonMail address
Best for
- Finding somewhere to do a specific activity when you do not know what the place is called
- Casual local discovery on a phone, now on Android as well as iPhone
- People who find category-based map search too rigid
Not for
- Turn-by-turn navigation or anything replacing Google or Apple Maps
- Anyone who needs a maintained app with a published price and a support desk
Watch out: Panic LLC's own site says a full website is still coming and lists only an email address; with the iOS build untouched for well over a year, treat this as a side project, not a supported service.
