Use tool ↗About Virtual Staging AI
Virtual Staging AI furnishes empty listing photos, strips out existing furniture and clutter, and re-renders rooms in different decor styles from a single uploaded image. Plans meter how many source photos you stage each month, while re-rendering the same photo in other styles is not counted against that quota. The company was bought by Zillow Group in October 2024 and its technology now also powers staging inside Zillow Showcase listings.

Pros & cons of Virtual Staging AI
The default choice for agents staging vacant listings, and the Zillow acquisition makes it unlikely to vanish mid-season the way indie staging tools do. What you are actually buying is the photo quota, not the render count, so plan around that.
Pros
- Unlimited re-renders per staged photo, so style iteration costs nothing extra
- No watermark on any tier, including the cheapest plan
- Per-photo cost drops from roughly $2.67 to $0.53 as volume rises
- Now owned by Zillow Group, which removes most vendor-survival risk
Cons
- No pay-per-image option, so light users still pay every month
- API access is gated behind the $79 Enterprise tier
- Unused photo quota does not roll into the following month
- Furniture is generated rather than catalogued, so nothing in a render is sourceable
Best for
- Agents staging vacant listings against a photography deadline
- Real estate photographers selling staging as an upsell
- Brokerages standardizing listing imagery across many agents
- High-volume listing teams that need per-photo cost under a dollar
Not for
- Interior designers who must specify real, purchasable furniture
- Markets whose advertising rules restrict altered listing photography
- Genuinely occasional use, since even the smallest plan is a monthly subscription
Watch out: Many MLS and state advertising rules require disclosure that a listing photo was digitally staged, and the tool will not add that label for you.
