TurboSeek is an open-source AI search engine: it runs a web search, scrapes the top-ranking pages, and has a language model synthesize a direct answer with follow-up question suggestions, similar in shape to other AI answer engines. It's built with Next.js and TypeScript, uses Together AI and OpenAI models for the answer synthesis step, and Exa or a SERP API for the underlying search. The project was created by Hassan El Mghari (known online as Nutlope), who also works on developer experience at Together AI, and is released as a free, self-hostable open-source codebase rather than a company product. There is no pricing, account system, or company entity behind the hosted version at turboseek.io; running your own copy requires supplying your own API keys for the underlying search and model providers.
