Tolgee is a localization platform for software teams that combines a translation management system with an AI translator. Its autonomous translation feature reads context automatically extracted from the running application, so translations account for surrounding UI rather than being generated from an isolated string, and results can still route to human reviewers before publishing. It supports multiple LLM providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini, or a self-hosted model, integrates via a JavaScript SDK, Docker, npm, and GitHub, and ships an MCP server for use from Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex. Tolgee is open source and built by a company based in Brno, Czech Republic, founded in 2021 by Jan Cizmar.
