Use tool ↗About Somio AI
Somio generates full songs - vocals and instrumental - from a text prompt, your own lyrics or a reference track, then lets you extend, remix, cover, split stems, strip vocals or turn the result into a music video. Around that sit smaller tools for MIDI generation, key and BPM detection, pitch shifting, sound effects and audio trimming, and the interface runs in 13 languages. Output downloads as MP3 or WAV and every paid tier grants commercial use, though the commercial licence certificate itself is Pro-only. The operator is Global Nexus Technology Limited in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. New accounts get 10 credits, about one song; beyond that you buy a Basic, Standard or Pro subscription or non-expiring pay-as-you-go credits.

Pros & cons of Somio AI
Somio covers more of the workflow than most song generators: prompt, lyrics or reference-track input on the way in, and stem splitting, vocal removal, remixing and music video on the way out. Credits are the currency and the fine print matters - subscription credits expire monthly, the newer model and the vocal remover are gated above Basic, and only Pro members get the commercial licence certificate.
Pros
- Takes lyrics, a plain prompt or a reference track as input rather than just one of the three
- Editing tools - stem split, vocal remover, remix, extend - sit alongside generation instead of needing another app
- Pay-as-you-go credits never expire, unlike the subscription allowance
- Downloads as WAV as well as MP3, and iOS and Android apps exist alongside the web app
Cons
- The newer V5.5 model and the vocal remover are locked out of the Basic tier
- Only Pro members receive the commercial licence certificate even though all paid tiers permit commercial use
- Prices load only after the page's scripts run, so the plan table is hard to read without a browser
- Credits earned from promotions are explicitly excluded from commercial use
Best for
- Creators who want generation plus editing (stems, remix, vocal removal) in one place
- Anyone starting from existing lyrics or a reference track rather than a text prompt
- Short-form video makers who need a music video generated alongside the track
Not for
- Buyers who need a named, locally reachable vendor - the operator is a Hong Kong holding entity
- Anyone needing a documented commercial licence on a cheap tier, since the certificate is Pro-only
Watch out: Subscription credits reset at the end of every billing cycle and do not roll over - only pay-as-you-go credits survive the month.
