What our research says

Recraft

The tool to reach for when the output has to be a real vector or has to match a style across fifty assets, which is where general image models fall apart. For one-off photorealistic images other models are at least as good, and the free tier is a showcase rather than a workspace since everything you make there is public and not yours commercially.

Pros

  • Native vector output that opens as editable SVG, not a traced raster
  • Saved styles keep a whole set of assets consistent
  • Canvas tools for mockups, background removal and inpainting, plus a Figma integration
  • API priced per image in prepaid units that never expire

Cons

  • Free-plan images are public and Recraft keeps the rights to them
  • Subscription credits do not roll over month to month
  • Vector generations cost twice the credits of raster ones
  • Plan table on the pricing page renders only in a browser; the docs carry the numbers

VectorMind

VectorMind turns a text prompt into a downloadable vector graphic without a designer's manual vector-editing skills, which is useful for quick icons and simple assets. Independent pricing sources disagree with each other and the vendor's own site was not fully accessible during research, so treat cost figures as approximate until verified directly.

Pros

  • Outputs true vector files (SVG), not just raster images dressed up as vector art
  • Prompt template library gives a starting point instead of a blank prompt box
  • Both personal and commercial licensing are offered depending on plan

Cons

  • Pricing figures conflict across independent sources and could not be confirmed directly on the vendor's own site
  • No public information on the company beyond a reported 2021 founding year
  • Free tier is limited to public, personal-use assets only

Choose VectorMind if you need

  • Non-designers who need a quick vector asset without learning illustration software
  • Teams wanting SVG exports for icons or simple graphics rather than raster images
