Powabase
A Supabase-shaped backend with the retrieval and agent layers already wired in, so document ingestion, vector search and tool-calling agents come from the same project as your database and auth. Worth a look if you keep rebuilding that stack; the trade-off is that plan fees sit on top of usage credits, so the real bill depends on call volume rather than the sticker price.
Pros
- Postgres, auth, storage, realtime, pgvector and an OCR document pipeline ship together
- ReAct agent runtime supports multiple models, knowledge bases and tools with streaming
- Visual workflow canvas with a natural-language copilot for assembling steps
- Self-hostable under Apache-2.0 via Docker Compose, so the managed cloud is not a lock-in
Cons
- Every paid plan bills usage credits on top of the monthly fee, so cost tracks call volume
- Marketing claims about token savings and build cost carry no published methodology
- Documentation and community are young compared with the database platforms it competes with
