What our research says

Memorr

Memorr's split canvas-plus-chat layout is a genuinely different approach to the 'AI forgets everything' problem than the usual browser extension that just re-pastes old messages. A one-time license and local-only storage are unusual and mostly buyer-friendly, but this review could not load the vendor's own site directly to double check current claims.

Pros

  • One-time purchase instead of a recurring subscription
  • Works across multiple AI providers rather than locking to one
  • Memories stored locally on-device instead of a remote database
  • Visual canvas makes saved context easier to review than a scrollback log

Cons

  • The vendor's own website could not be accessed directly during this review
  • Bring-your-own-API-key requirement adds a separate cost and setup step
  • No web or mobile version, desktop only

Notion AI

If your team already lives in Notion, this replaces separate meeting-notes and enterprise-search subscriptions with one bundled layer that can actually edit your pages and databases. The catch is the toll: full AI requires the Business tier for every member, and automated custom agents burn metered credits on top.

Pros

  • Agent operates on real workspace objects, not just chat replies
  • Meeting notes and connector-based search are included rather than sold separately
  • Zero data retention with LLM providers is available at the Enterprise tier
  • Mature platform with a documented public API and broad app coverage

Cons

  • Per-member Business pricing makes AI expensive for large casual teams
  • Custom agents consume paid credits once the promotional window lapsed
  • Output quality depends heavily on how well-structured your workspace is

Which one fits

Choose Memorr if you need

  • Heavy users of multiple AI chat apps who lose context across long sessions
  • People who prefer local storage over a cloud-synced memory tool
  • Buyers who'd rather pay once than subscribe monthly

Choose Notion AI if you need

  • Teams standardized on Notion for docs, wikis and projects
  • Ops people automating recurring page and database upkeep with scheduled agents
  • Companies consolidating meeting transcription and cross-app search into one tool
