Building and testing agents is free with no time limit. Production starts at $100K a year, billed yearly, as one budget covering agents plus forward-deployed engineers; enterprise-wide governance is sized per customer. Lyzr states it never bills for model tokens - you use the model provider you already pay.
Use tool ↗About Lyzr
Lyzr sells the layer around agents rather than the agents themselves. Agent Studio and Architect build them; the control plane then connects agents you already run on AWS, Azure, GCP, LangChain or a custom framework and puts one set of controls over all of them — a simulation engine to test behaviour before release, tracing and observability once live, hallucination detection, PII masking, access control and audit logging for compliance. It spans GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama and Mistral, and can run inside your own VPC or on-premises so data and model IP stay in your environment. Lyzr was founded in April 2023 by Siva Surendira, is headquartered in the New York area with engineering in Bangalore, and closed a $100M round in 2026.

Pros & cons of Lyzr
Lyzr has moved from per-run billing to an enterprise contract: building agents is free, but running them in production starts at $100K a year, which buys software plus engineers who help get the agents working. The control plane over agents built elsewhere - Copilot, Bedrock, LangGraph - is still the part that sets it apart from another framework. For anyone short of a six-figure agent budget it is a free sandbox, not a production option.
Pros
- Building and testing agents is free with no time limit
- Control plane governs agents built on Copilot, Bedrock, LangGraph and other stacks alike
- Production plan includes forward-deployed engineers, not just software
- Runs hosted by Lyzr, in your own cloud or on-premises
- No markup on model tokens: you bring your own provider
Cons
- Production entry price is $100K a year, out of reach for small teams
- No self-serve paid tier between the free builder and the enterprise contract
- Governance tier is priced only through sales
- Model spend is still a separate bill with your provider
Best for
- Enterprises with agents already running across several frameworks and clouds
- Regulated teams that need audit logs, policies and spend limits over agent activity
- Deployments that must keep data inside a company cloud or on-premises
Not for
- Individual developers or small teams who want to pay as they go in production
- Buyers without budget for a yearly contract starting at $100K
Watch out: The free tier covers building and testing only; putting any agent into production means a yearly contract that starts at $100K.
