What our research says

ICLight Studio

ICLight Studio's marketing page is clear about what it is supposed to do, but the actual editor got stuck on an authentication loading screen during testing, and the site carries an unedited template copyright plus links to several look-alike tool sites, which are signs of a low-effort wrapper rather than a maintained product. Treat the free claim as unverified until the editor itself is confirmed working.

Pros

  • Marketing page clearly explains the relighting concept with before/after examples
  • No payment requested for the advertised free tier
  • Both preset and text-description relighting are described

Cons

  • The editor did not finish loading past an authentication screen during testing
  • Generic, unedited template branding raises doubts about upkeep
  • No company or location information anywhere on the site

Photoroom

For anyone listing physical products, Photoroom is the fastest route from a kitchen-table photo to a marketplace-ready image, and the batch and Shopify tools mean it scales from one seller to a catalogue team. The pricing is two meters stacked - AI credits for the generative tools and an export cap on top - so a seller who mostly removes backgrounds pays little, while video and virtual-model output burns credits quickly. Developers get a clean per-image API with a real free sandbox, which is rarer than it should be.

Pros

  • Background removal and the other core tools are unmetered on every paid plan
  • Batch processing, catalogue management and a Shopify sync cover the whole listing workflow
  • API at $0.02 to $0.10 per image with a free monthly sandbox and MCP access for agents
  • Established Paris company with a large user base, not a thin wrapper

Cons

  • Exports are capped per month (1,000 on Pro) on top of the credit pool
  • Headline prices are annual; Max and Ultra prices were not readable on the page today
  • Video generation and virtual models consume credits fast - Pro allows no video at all
  • No free plan is listed on the web pricing page; only the API has a stated free allowance
