What our research says

HitPaw Watermark Remover

As a browser eraser it does the job and the credits carry across HitPaw's whole online suite, which is decent value if you also enhance video or audio. Two things spoil it: the free tier only previews, and the yearly plan's 3,000 credits are barely more than three months of the monthly plan, so the annual discount is smaller than it looks.

Pros

  • Content-aware fill reconstructs background rather than smearing a patch
  • Handles watermarks, text, emojis, objects and people with the same tool
  • Runs in the browser on any OS with no install
  • One credit balance spans 48 tools across video, photo and audio

Cons

  • Free tier renders a preview only — you cannot download a result without paying
  • Credit maths favours the monthly plan: $79.99/year buys 3,000 credits against 1,200 a month for $24.99
  • Batch removal is a paid feature, so bulk cleanup is not testable up front

RemoveMark

RemoveMark does one job — strip the Sora watermark from a video URL — and charges nothing for it, which is unusual enough to be worth noting on its own. There's no company name anywhere on the site and the pricing page it links to doesn't exist, which for a free tool matters less commercially but still leaves no one accountable if something goes wrong with an uploaded video. The entire point of the tool is to remove the marker that flags a video as AI-generated, which sits directly against the provenance policies those markers exist to enforce.

Pros

  • No cost at all for unlimited watermark removal, by the site's own repeated claim
  • No account or signup required — paste a URL and download the result
  • Outputs up to 4K, matching or exceeding the source video's resolution

Cons

  • No company name, location, or accountable entity is disclosed anywhere on the site
  • The linked pricing page returns a 404, suggesting the site isn't fully maintained
  • Removing an AI-provenance watermark conflicts with the disclosure policies of platforms that require it

  • Quickly stripping a watermark from a single Sora video without paying anything
  • Casual use where accountability and support aren't a concern
