What our research says

Guidde

Guidde is a fast way for support, training and enablement teams to produce narrated software walkthroughs without editing video by hand. It is overkill for one-off screen recordings, and the useful extras (desktop capture, unlimited text-to-voice, translation) sit on Business or in add-ons.

Pros

  • Auto-generates steps, script and AI voiceover from a single capture
  • Exports to video, PPT, PDF and knowledge-base articles
  • In-app Broadcast panel surfaces guides inside Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP and others
  • Usable free tier with no credit card

Cons

  • Free plan stops at 25 videos and keeps the watermark
  • Desktop and mobile capture require Business or Enterprise
  • Voice cloning, avatars and automatic translation cost extra

Velo

Most demo-video tools stop at the render; Velo keeps going into hosting, analytics, translation, and re-editing, which is the part that actually costs teams time when a product changes. The API and SCORM export mean it can sit inside another product or an LMS rather than being a standalone studio. It is a wide surface for a young company, so expect depth to vary between the recording, dubbing, and analytics halves.

Pros

  • Ingests documents, screenshots, and knowledge bases as video source material
  • Voice cloning and translation into 25+ languages from the same project
  • Hosting plus viewing analytics rather than a raw file export
  • Documented API and SDK, and SCORM export for LMS delivery, on the Enterprise plan

Cons

  • Credit allowances are thin below Ultra: Free covers about 2-5 minutes of video a month and Pro about 5-10
  • $200/month Ultra is expensive next to single-purpose screen recorders
  • Very broad feature surface for a company whose terms are dated 2026
  • No desktop application listed - the recording flow is browser-based

Which one fits

Choose Guidde if you need

  • L&D and onboarding teams documenting internal tools like SAP or Salesforce
