Use tool ↗About Frontman
Frontman is an AI website editor for existing WordPress, Next.js, Astro and Vite sites. It runs inside the WordPress admin or your framework's dev server, reads the live page along with DOM, styles and source mappings, and turns a plain-English request on a clicked element into edits to your files or CMS content. Changes are not published automatically: developers review a normal Git diff or the CMS change. The code is source-available on GitHub, with a hosted plan or free self-hosting, and you bring your own LLM provider key. Made by Boilerplate Ventures UG in Germany.

Pros & cons of Frontman
A practical way for marketers and designers to request site changes from the page itself while keeping developers in the loop through ordinary diffs. It suits teams on WordPress or a supported JavaScript framework; it is a poor fit for static builders or teams that expect AI costs to be bundled.
Pros
- Edits land as normal diffs or CMS changes that a developer can review
- Works on existing sites without rebuilding them
- Free self-hosting and a source-available repository
- Bring-your-own model key keeps the model choice and spend in your control
Cons
- Hosted plan requires a credit card to start the trial
- AI provider costs are extra and unpredictable
- Price is shown in euros only
- Limited to a handful of supported frameworks
Best for
- Marketing and design teams who file small site-change tickets all day
- WordPress site owners who want AI edits beside the live page
- Frontend teams that want visual requests turned into reviewable Git diffs
Not for
- Teams on stacks other than WordPress, Next.js, Astro or Vite
- Anyone who wants LLM usage included in the subscription price
Watch out: The seat price does not include model usage; you pay your own LLM provider on top, and the 14-day trial needs a credit card and bills unless you cancel before day 14.
